AN ECO-FRIENDLY PRODUCT
Our sustainable development is supported by the remarkable intrinsic qualities of expanded polystyrene.
- Maintains its physical properties and insulation performance over time.
- Is recyclable and reusable.
- Does not contain HFC nor HBCD that damage the ozone layer or groundwaters when in the soil.
- Final products are composed of 95-98% air and just 2-5% plastics.
With this perspective of sustainable development, our products are certified for low chemical emission: GREENGUARD and GREENGUARD Gold.
Moreover, wood used in the manufacturing of some of our insulation products is FSC- and/or SFI-certified.

CHOICES OF RAW MATERIALS
Isolofoam applies the principles of sustainable development, namely in its selection of raw materials and production equipment, with the aim of preserving air quality both inside and outside the factory. The use of recycled plastic and No-VOC glue, are just two examples.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY
We are constantly preoccupied with energy efficiency, from the purchase of materials and equipment to our manufacturing activities and, ultimately, to the characteristics of our products. Consequently, our product line meets the insulation standards of high-energy-efficiency building programs such as ENERGY STAR and Passive House, while also contributing to LEED credits.
RESIDUE & RECYCLING MANAGEMENT
Isolofoam has a structured and highly efficient residue and recycling management program—something that applies as much to production material scraps as it does to our diverse administrative activities. The company aims to optimize the incorporation of recycled material into products without ever compromising insulating value and performance.
RESPONSIBLE DISTRIBUTION
With our factory and network members all located in Eastern Canada and the Northeastern United States, our distribution network has been developed with a conscious effort to minimize the impact of our transportation activities and our ecological footprint.
